Early Voting Starts Next Week

Published on February 14, 2014 by Larry Crippen

Early Voting for the Republican Primary and Democratic Primary begins next week.  Early Voting will be held at the Walker County Annex located at 1301 Sam Houston Avenue, Room 101, beginning Tuesday, February 18th thru Friday, February 28th, 8am – 5pm, Monday-Friday.  Monday, February 17th, is Presidents’ Day, a legal holiday, so Early Voting will begin on Tuesday, February 18th. County Elections Director Diana McRae encourages all voters to come out and vote early at the Annex. Voter entrance and parking is available on the South side of the Annex, at the Vehicle Registration entrance, which is also where curbside voting will be available for voters who are physically unable to enter the poll place.

Sample ballots are available at the Elections Department located at the Annex or online at www.co.walker.tx.us–just click on the Current Election tab on the Home Page.  Poll places for the March 4th election can be found on the County’s website also under the Current Election tab.

Voters must have an approved photo ID in order to cast a ballot in this election.
