As you can see by the many building projects going on around the city of Huntsville, construction is beginning to grow in our area.
We asked Community and Economic Development Director Aron Kulhavy, “How has construction activity this year compared with previous years? . . . .”
Aron Kulhavy will be our guest on “Around Town” this weekend.
According to information released Thursday in the City Council’s packet agenda for next Tuesday, there will be a first reading of a proposed Chapter 380 agreement with BFI Crossroads. The developer is purchasing 4.5 acres of the Ravenwood Subdivision. The agenda packet reports that the “developer will develop the property and lease the building to a national restaurant chain, a Spec’s wine and spirits store and have an additional 5,000 square feet for additional restaurant and retail space.” Construction is slated to begin in the fall of 2014.
