Four people–39-year-old Kevin Bright, 37-year-old Robert Henkhause, 41-year-old Robin Harrison and 36-year-old Candace McDaniel of Conroe–were booked into the Walker County Jail on theft of property charges.
The arrests were initiated following an investigation that started after the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office found stolen property during a traffic stop on July 15th. The suspects were hauling a trailer owned by a Walker County resident with an all-terrain vehicle inside that had been stolen from a deer camp.
An interview with the suspects revealed that the group was responsible for a number of thefts and burglaries in Walker, San Jacinto, Trinity and Montgomery counties. Apparently, the group targeted deer camps.
Sheriff Clint McRae told local media that he wanted to thank his staff and the several agencies that assisted in the ongoing investigation, including Montgomery County Auto Theft and the sheriff offices of San Jacinto and Trinity counties.
