The HISD Board of Trustees held their fourth bond planning session meeting at the Hawkins Administration Building last night.
Broken up into groups to talk with separate board members, the primary issue discussed by those participating had to do with if the bond election should be planned for May or November and how to successfully inform most of the public on the issue at hand.
The reported result was that three groups agreed on a November election, one supported a May bond election, and another group had a split decision. A good proliferation of drawings and models of proposed and current facilities to be made available to the public was suggested.
The HISD Board will meet for their regular session this Thursday at 6 PM at the Hawkins Administration Building. Superintendent Dr. Steve Johnson will present an update on the potential bond election.
