Wednesday in Dallas, Governor Rick Perry spoke one-on-one about border security with President Obama aboard the president’s helicopter on the way from DFW Airport to Dallas Love Field. The president later characterized the meeting as consutructive. Perry reports he asked the president for an additional 1,000 troops along the Texas-Mexican border. The governor still wants Mr. Obama to visit the border area. So far, the president has refused to do so.
