Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius appeared before the House Ways & Means Committee for questioning about her agency’s 2015 budget Wednesday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, to help pay for Health.gov’s construction and maintenance and move forward with consumer outreach, among other needs, the Obama Administration is asking for about $600 million in new money for 2015. It’s been reported by CBS that the administration projects the continued Affordable Care rollout will cost around $1.8 billion. The administration says $1.2 billion will be recouped through Obamacare taxes and fees.
There was much back and forth at Wednesday’s hearing between Republicans and Sibelius.
