Hurricane Functional Exercise Held Monday in Huntsville

Walker County and City Emergency Management Officials, along with various law enforcement branches and state officials, conducted a Hurricane Functional Exercise at the Emergency Operations Center at the Sheriff’s Office Monday throughout the day.

Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis kicked off the event in front of a crowded room of participants . . . .


City Emergency Management Coordinator John Waldo was on hand for questions.

Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator David Anderson presented the scenario for the make-believe hurricane . . . .


Again, that was just a practice scenario.

Also in attendance was District Coordinator for the Texas Department of Emergency Management and Texas Homeland Security, Ron Walker . . . .
