Meat Goat Competition Held at Fair

In the meat goat show at the Walker County Fair this year, there were 51 goats competing in five weight classifications.

Fifteen-year-old New Waverly High School student Luke Yargo had the Grand Champion.

Eleven-year-old Alpha Omega Academy student Boyd Hanagriff finished second in the heavyweight division and got the Reserve Grand Champion title.

Luke Yargo also won the Senior Showmanship Grand Champion. Dylan Morrison won Senior Showmanship Reserve Champion. Joshua Cramer was Junior Showmanship Grand Champion. Bailey Lamb won Junior Showmanship Reserve Grand Champion. Chance Rushing was the Intermediate Showmanship Grand Champion. Shelby Lepley won Intermediate Showmanship Reserve Grand Champion.
