New Coach Hired for SHSU Football

Published on January 24, 2014 by Larry Crippen

After a two-week search for a new SHSU football coach following Coach Willie Fritz’s move to Georgia Southern, SHSU has hired Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen’s coach K.C. Keeler.

Coach Keeler comes with a great overall career track record–174 victories, 73 losses and one tie.

His 2003 Fightin’ Blue Hens won the FCS national championship. The Delaware team reached the FCS Championship Game in 2007 and 2010.

In 11 seasons at Delaware, his team racked up an 86 and 52 record.

A news conference featuring the new SHSU football coach K.C. Keeler will be held at two this afternoon at the field house, weather permitting.
