In Huntsville Police news, on the day shift Monday a person was reported missing from a residence on Gail Lane.  In the 2900 block of Old Houston Road, police investigated an assault by an unknown suspect that caused serious bodily injury.

On the night shift Monday, an unknown person entered a vehicle in in the 100 block of Broadmoor Drive and stole a firearm along with other property.  Two assaults were investigated–one in the 1700 block of Avenue O and and a second at Trinity Cut-Off and Old Colony Road.  Police were dispatched to the 900 block of University Avenue where an identified person entered a residence without permission with the intent to commit assault.  In the 1300 block of Avenue O, a person accidentally shot themselves in the leg.  In the 600 block of Avenue H, 21-year-old Tramell Mahone  was arrested for assault in family violence, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
