In Huntsville Police news, on Friday’s night shift a commercial burglary was investigated in the100 block of Sumac Road–a possibly known suspect forced entry into the building and damaged property. In the 700 block of Avenue G, a possibly known suspect assaulted a victim. Twenty-nine-year-old Brian Dustin Welch was arrested for burglary of a habitation in the 200 block of Louis Davis Drive.

On Saturday’s night shift, HPD was called to assist SHSU-PD with a felony stop on a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of I-45 North.

On Sunday’s night shift, police were dispatched to an aggravated assault in the 1200 block of Goodrich. On FM 247, police investigated an aggravated assault–a known suspect had assaulted the complainant by choking.

On Monday’s day shift, officers were called to investigate an aggravated robbery in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue–an unknown suspect had displayed a deadly weapon while committing theft.
