In Huntsville Police news last Friday, there were seven vehicle accident cases investigated on Huntsville streets in total. On the night shift Friday, 33-year-old Alton Edmonston was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and posession of drug paraphernalia.

On the day shift Saturday, a police vehicle and another vehicle were involved in an accident in the 2700 block of 11th Street–one person was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Seven vehicle accidents were investigated in total on Saturday.

On the night shift Saturday, 50-year-old Byron Jenkins was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and evading at the intersection of Birmingham and Gibbs Street.

On the night shift Sunday, a known suspect damaged the victim’s vehicle in a case of criminal mischief in the 600 block of 9th Street. Forty-one-year-old Cedric James was arrested in the 2300 block of Avenue M for criminal trespass and a prohibited knuckles weapon.
