Published on April 11, 2014 by Larry Crippen

The Premium Sale at the Walker County Fair last night paid off handsomely for the exhibitors to aid them in taking care of expenses accrued when showing an animal.

Eleven-year-old Kendyll Williams Grand Champion steer was purchased for $14,000.

Grand and Reserve Champion animals at the sale took in over $90,000 for exhibitors.

All in all, the sale of animals earned Walker County Youth more than $415,500.
