Runoff Election Day Voting

Published on May 27, 2014 by Larry Crippen

Today is election day where voters may cast their ballot in the Democratic Primary Runoff and Republican Primay Runoff contests. County Election Officer Diana McRae informs us that 440 voters turned out on the last day of Early Voting Friday making the total for this week 1,469.

Polls are open until 7 PM tonight.

All voting precincts, except 304 and 404, will vote at the Walker County Annex on Sam Houston Avenue.

Precinct 304 will vote at Riverside United Methodist Church at 2341 FM 980.

Precinct 404 will vote at New Waverly First Baptist Church, 460 Fisher Street, in New Waverly.

Voters that did not vote in the Primary elections are still eligible to vote in the Runoff elections. However, if you voted in a Primary Election of a particular party or attended a party’s convention, you are only eligible to vote in that party’s runoff.

Voter entrance and parking is available on the south side of the Annex at the Vehicle Registration entrance, which is also where curbside voting will be available for voters who are physically unable to enter the poll place.
