Summer Fun for Kids

Here are some activities for your school-age children this summer. Hopefully this can help you plan your summer childcare. If you know of activities that we don’t have listed, please send us a message or give us a call, and let us know!

HEAP (Huntsville Enrichment Activities Program)

ll Sessions are Monday – Thursday from 8 AM to 12 PM
Session 1 – June 15 thru June 25
Session 2 – June 29 thru July 9
Cost is $40 per session

Huntsville Family YMCA Day Camp

Come join us at the Y for an unforgettable summer! Weekly sessions will begin June 8th and will run through August 21st. Y Summer Camp offers children a fun and safe environment, where they can nurture their spirits, challenge their mind, and strengthen their bodies through a variety of activities. All activities will be facilitated by caring, experienced, and well trained staff. At the Huntsville Y, we are aiming to raise the BAR (Belonging, Achievement, Relationships), come join us!
Camp I Can (ages 6-12) – field trips twice a week and swim twice a week!
Camp I Can Too (ages 4-5) – field trip once a week and splashpad once a week!
Camp I Can Fees: $140 per week, $30 registration fee.
Camp I Can Too Fees: $125 per week, $30 registration fee.
Financial assistance available for families who apply and qualify registration
Camp Weekly Sessions—Deadline for registration will be the Thursday prior to each session.

Forest Glen Day Camp

Forest Glen Day Camp is for every child who is going to enter kindergarten all the way through kids entering 7th grade. With busses running to The Woodlands, Conroe and Huntsville, each session is sure to be full with 120 of the best kids around!

Camp Coyote

The tradition continues for another exciting summer at Camp Coyote – it is said “that a good life is determined by the quality of its memories…that the moods of a lifetime are set in all but forgotten events of childhood.” So let us show your kids a real Texas Style camp where cabin mates become pen pals, best friends, and college roommates.

Camp Invention at SHSU

The 2015 program is themed “Illuminate TM” and was developed by some of our nation’s most brilliant minds including experienced educators, Inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame and members of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. IlluminateTM will encourage your child to explore their inventiveness and problem solving skills with experiences that will harness their curiosity, inspire creativity and evoke a sense of accomplishment!
