Commissioner White Discusses County Policy On Arrests And Convictions

At this week’s Commissioner Court session, the court discussed insurance rates and liabilities concerning County employees, elected or non-elected, who have an arrest and/or conviction of one or more of the major violations listed in the Walker County Policy Manual on Motor Vehicle Records to include a violation of any Texas laws.

This discussion took place following the DWI arrest recently of Precinct #3 Commissioner Bobby Warren in Montgomery County.

Following the meeting, we talked with Precinct #2 Commissioner Ronnie White who prompted holding a discussion on policy issues in regard to arrests and convictions with commissioners . . . .

 

Commissioner White suggested a meeting be held in the future to look at County policy regarding elected and non-elected County employees who have been arrested or convicted of a major traffic offense. A workshop will be held.

We asked him what they will focus on in the workshop . . . .
