Commissioners’ Court Meets

Walker County Commissioners meet at the courthouse at nine this morning.

Commissioners will receive department reports.

Commissioners will have a public hearing on the Proposed Budget.

They will discuss and vote to set salaries, expenses and other allowances of all elected County and precinct officials.

They will discuss, set and announce the date of September 14th for the adoption of the budget and tax rate for the fiscal year.

Commissioners will hear from TechBundle concerning IT and consultation. They will hear a presentation by Robert Patterson from the Senior Center of Walker County.

They will discuss and possibly approve a petition creating Emergency Service District #3, fix the district’s boundaries and impose any conditions, and ordering an election and authorizing imposition of a tax not to exceed the rate allowed.

Jail Administrator, Captain Steve Fisher, will discuss approving an Interlocal Agreement related to jail use with Hays County.

County Election Director Diana McRae will talk about appointing Precinct Election Judges for an annual term.

And, commissioners will discuss the status of the project to rehabilitate the Justice Complex.
