Entergy Contract Crews Are In Huntsville

Published on March 04, 2015 by Larry Crippen

Contract crews working for Entergy Texas, Inc. are on the move, trimming vegetation, limbs and brush away from power lines in Huntsville.

Contract crews have two power lines to clear, both of which originate at the WYNTEX Substation on FM 2821. Work is already underway on one 16-mile-long power line that serves 860 customers, most of whom are in an area north of Cross Timbers Drive and west of Highway 75. This project is expected to take about six weeks to complete.

Work is scheduled to begin on the other power line the week of March 16. That line is about six miles long and serves 594 customers in an area along University Avenue from FM 2821 to 11th Street. Work is expected to be complete within three weeks of the start date depending on weather.
