SHSU College Of Criminal Justice Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Celebration Today

Published on April 23, 2015 by Larry Crippen

This year, the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University celebrates 50 years of service.

Slated for today is a Leadership Luncheon at 11 AM that acknowledges the contribution of their criminal justice student organizations, as well as their college leadership. At 1:30, there’s a sundial ceremony that commemorates the lives of criminal justice professionals who’ve died in the line of duty. At 7 tonight, there’s an honors convocation during which scholarships will be awarded to nearly 100 students.

Dean of the College of Criminal Justice, Dr. Phillip Lyons, fills us in on what’s scheduled in the celebration, tomorrow . . . .

The celebration continues on Saturday.
