Published on September 03, 2015 by Larry Crippen

According to a story on the Houston Chronicle website, Sam Houston State University student Monica Foy has been receiving a lot of flak lately for a tweet she allegedly sent out following the shooting death of Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth. Deputy Goforth was killed Friday. The accused shooter is Shannon Miles.

Ms. Foy’s Tuesday alleged tweet brought up the question why the officer might have deserved to be shot. It’s said, she tweeted that the officer had “creepy perv eyes.”

A spokesman for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Brady Fitzgerald, said Wednesday that they got a call that Ms. Foy had an outstanding warrant for assault causing bodily harm out of Harris County. Following confirmation, she was arrested at her home and made bond.

SHSU officials are evaluating the incident.
