Ambulance Remount Approved by Commissioners

Published on November 29, 2016 by Larry Crippen

In Commissioners’ Court Monday, EMS Coordinator John Nabors addressed commissioners for approval of a bid for the purchase of an ambulance remount. With a budget for the remount of $102,500 the County received bids higher than their budgeted amount. One bid was for $160,150, another was for $124,400 and another, from Peach State Ambulance, was for $109,050.

Mr. Nabors described what the low bidder, Peach State, was offering . . . .

Commissioners approved the purchase and will provide funds. The remounting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

Commissioners also approved a resolution that opposes Texas Central Partners plans for a high-speed rail project in Texas. The rail is not scheduled to come through Walker County, but the commissioners wanted their position known in case there is any change in the route.
