Council Approves Contract for Signs

Tuesday night, Huntsville City councilmembers considered approving a contract for manufacturing and installation of way-finding signs from National Signs for $237,000. Two-hundred-thousand dollars of the amount will come from HOT funds.

Following a question from Councilmember Rodriguez, Director of Neighborhood Resources, Dr. Sherry McKibben, explained why the City did not accept the lowest bidder . . . .

Tx-DOT has stringent requirements on signs and this limits the choice of companies who can manufacture the signs. City Manager Matt Benoit explains . . . .
