HISD Sets up Fund for Family of Children in Fatal Accident

Published on April 14, 2016 by Larry Crippen

According to HISD’s website, the district has set up a fund to collect donations for the family of 3 children who attended Stewart Elementary who passed away in a tragic car accident on April 2nd. Donations can be sent or delivered to the Hawkins Administration Building, 441 FM 2821 E, to the attention of Shannon Duncan or Sherry Odom. All funds raised will go to help pay for burial and medical expenses.

They are only accepting cash or checks. Make checks payable to Huntsville ISD, and include your driver’s license number. In the memo, write “Care”.

The Huntsville Diamonds Breast Cancer Survivor Team is holding a fundraiser this Friday at the Samuel W. Houston Museum and Cultural Center on 10th Street. They will be selling sausage wrap which will include sausage, bread, chips, a dessert and drink for just $8. They are also looking for volunteers if anyone would like to help work, or donate to the cause. Please contact Lateel Richardson (MPMS) directly at 936-355-9502. They will start selling at 10 AM on Friday until they sell out. Preorders are being accepted now and are encouraged, if possible. All proceeds will go to the family.
