Local AFSCME Union President Against Proposed 4 Percent Cut

Local AFSCME union President Lance Lowery has expressed his concern recently about a proposed cutback to TDCJ’s budget. He says, “State leadership, governor and lieutenant governor, have called for state agencies to cut back 4 percent on their budget for the next session starting in 2017.”
