“2 Grand Ranch” Application Discussed in Commissioners’ Court Monday

In Walker County Commissioners’ Court Monday, Texas Grand Ranch representative Renee Howze with City of Huntsville Community & Economic Development Director Aron Kulhavy on hand, discussed possible approval of a method for a platting and construction application for 2 Texas Grand Ranch, the new section behind Elkins Lake and the Huntsville State Park Area . . . .

 

The 3,200 acre development has about 1,700 lots. Three-hundred-forty of the the lots fall outside of the extra-territorial jurisdiction. There is a desire to have basic infrastructural continuity in the development. The County does not wish to be obligated to take care of sidewalk issues, storm drains or extensive street lighting.

Following a lengthy discussion, it appears the County will be moving forward to resolving the issues. A meeting is planned before the next regular council session. Ms. Howze talked about the next steps . . . .
