Commissioners’ Court Meets

Walker County Commissioners’ Court meets for a regular session at nine this morning at the courthouse.

On today’s “Statutory Agenda:”

Walker County Emergency Management Coordinator Butch Davis will discuss purchasing equipment for the TDCJ Holliday Unit yard square to maintain the grounds at the Walker County Storm Shelter and HEARTS Veterans Museum Complex up to the amount of $3,500.

Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Whitecotton will talk about taking action on an Interlocal Agreement between Walker Couny and the City for the 2017 Justice Assistance Grant Program Award.

Tax Assessor-Collector Diana McRae will discuss taking action on a petition for a Local Option Election for Justice Precinct #4 to legalize; look at action on appointing nominated presiding/alternate judges by party chairs for a one year term of September 1st, 2017 through August 31st 2018; and discuss possible action on approving the updated Attachment B (regarding election judges) of the Joint Election Agreement for the November 7th General Election.

County Purchasing Agent Mike Williford will talk about taking action on a Purchasing Cooperative Interlocal Agreement between Fort Bend County and Walker County and look at taking action on a Technology Assurance Plan between Ford Audio-Video Systems and Walker County. He will also discuss a number of contract renewals.

Commissioner Daugette will discuss overtime pay for exempt employees.
