Council Approves Street Overlay Work

Published on December 07, 2017 by Larry Crippen

On Tuesday’s regular Huntsville City Council session “Statutory Agenda,” councilmembers considered authorizing the purchase of street milling and overlay services from Smith and Company for $1,091,800.

Mayor Andy Brauninger mentioned an earlier street study and asked Street Assistant Superintendent John Hereford, “How do you prioritize the streets? Is this million dollars being spent on the worst that we have?” . . . .

Councilmembers approved awarding purchase of the Street Milling/Overlay services from Smith and Company.
