Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson Discusses Security for Inauguration

Presidential inauguration events occur this January 19th through the 21st in Washington. Last Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson addressed reporters regarding security for the inauguration events.

Johnson said, “At present, we know of 99 different organizations that intend to demonstrate in one form or another at the inauguration in the area of the capitol and the mall—some pro and some con . . . .”

 

Police include 2800 Washington D.C. Police and another 3,200 from other police departments.
