HPD Buying New Motorcycles and Radar

Published on December 06, 2017 by Larry Crippen

One of the “Consent Agenda” items on Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Huntsville City Council was an authorization for the City Manager to purchase two police-equipped motorcycles from Longhorn Harley Davidson and police speed radars from Stalker Radar for $62,060.

HPD Chief Kevin Lunsford outlined to councilmembers the need for the purchase . . . .

Councilmembers approved the purchase. One of the motorcycles will be replacing the one they have now after it was damaged in an accident with a deer.
