In Huntsville Police news in looking back on the past several days, on the day shift Thursday a residential burglary was reported in the 2400 block of Lake Road. In the 1300 block of 11th Street, an unknown suspect took money by means of a scam—the Criminal Investigations Division was notified. Police investigated an unknown suspect’s use of victim information at the intersection of Montgomery Road and Sam Houston Avenue. Also, an unknown suspect used victim information to collect tax return money in the 7000 block of State Highway 75 South.

On the night shift Friday, in the 200 block of I-45 South Ronald Grimes Jr. was arrested for Montgomery County Warrants, DWI, and evading arrest in a motor vehicle with previous convictions and possession of a controlled substance.

On Saturday’s day shift, a residential burglary was investigated in the 1600 block of Sycamore Avenue. At the same address, Jack Turner was arrested for burglary, resisting, assault and public intoxication.

On the night shift Saturday, in the 300 block of Forest Lane an unknown suspect used a victim’s identifying information. Police investigated an assault in the 100 block of I-45 North.

On the day shift Sunday, a known suspect started a fire and damaged property in the 100 block of Sara Lane.

On the night shift Sunday, HPD assisted the Precinct #4 Constables office with an investigation in the 1300 block of 13th Street involving an aggressive pitbull. In the 1900 block of Sam Houston Avenue, Lauren Martin was arrested for public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. At the same address, Joseph McGinnis was arrested for public intoxication.
