In Huntsville Police news, on the day shift Wednesday in the 2100 block of Sycamore Avenue a small amount of marijuana was located and turned in. In a case of criminal mischief, in the 1600 block of Normal Park Drive an unknown person damaged property. A theft was investigated in the 2500 block of Pine Shadows Drive. A known suspect made a purchase with a fraudulent check in the 100 block of U-S 190.

On the night shift Wednesday, in the 200 block of I-45 South HPD assisted another agency regarding a stolen firearm that was located and returned to the owner at the entering agency’s request. In the 2600 block of Old Houston Road, a known person threatened another with a weapon and was transported to a psychiatric emergency treatment center. In the 900 block of Martin Luther King, Malik Brown was arrested on a resisting arrest warrant.
