In Huntsville Police news, on the day shift Wednesday a commercial burglary was investigated in the 2100 block of State Highway 30 East where burglars entered a building and took property and a vehicle. An unknown suspect passed counterfeit money to make purchases in the 1500 block of 11th Street. In the 2400 block of Montgomery Road, police investigated a theft case where property was stolen along with a firearm. At the intersection of Avenue I and Sam Houston Avenue, Jonathan Sterling-Freeman was arrested for driving while license invalid and possession of drug paraphernalia. In the 2700 block of 11th Street, Randel Martin Jr. was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday’s night shift, HPD assisted DPS with a narcotics arrest in the 600 block of I-45. At the corner of Bowers and Montgomery, marijuana was found and turned in.
