Sam Houston Presidential Library Resolution Passed

Published on December 06, 2017 by Larry Crippen

On his Facebook page, District 18 State Representative Ernest Bailes reports that Huntsville is going to be home to the 4th Presidential Library in Texas. Bailes announced he’s “extremely honored to have passed House Concurrent Resolution 129, which supports the creation of the Sam Houston Republic of Texas Presidential Library. Sam Houston State University will be home to the privately funded library.” He says, he “can’t think of a better way to honor the first and third President of the Republic of Texas, and one of the most influential Texans in our state’s history than with this fitting tribute to General Sam Houston.”
