SHSU College of Humanities and Social Sciences Diversity Fellowship Applications Available

Published on August 11, 2017 by Larry Crippen

Sam Houston State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences has opened applications for its Diversity Fellowship program.

The program seeks to integrate undergraduate student leaders into programming related to diversity and inclusion in the college and beyond.

Fellows will be paired with one of the co-chairs of the CHSS Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Jeffery Littlejohn or Ervin Malakaj, for mentorship and supervision.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee has developed a number of programs on campus, which seeks to expand its mission to foster diversity and inclusion at all levels of the university.

The Diversity Fellowship program will provide two undergraduate students the opportunity to be part of key conversations in the committee and beyond.

Fellows will receive a $1,500 stipend per semester. The application deadline for this cycle is Aug. 14.

For direct inquiries about the program, contact Littlejohn at littlejohn@shsu.edu or Malakaj at emalakaj@shsu.edu.
