THE VICTORIES JUST KEEP ON COMING FOR THE SHSU BEARKAT BASEBALL TEAM. THE KATS IMPROVED TO 12-&-0 IN SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE ACTION ON SUNDAY WITH AN 11-2 PASTING OF NICHOLLS, COMPLETING A 3-GAME WEEKEND SWEEP OF THE COLONELS AT DON SANDERS STADIUM. THE BEARKATS SLUGGED A SCHOOL-RECORD-TYING 5 HOME RUNS IN SUNDAY’S GAME. OVERALL THE KATS ARE 23-&-9. THEY’LL BE ON THE ROAD UNTIL APRIL 28, BEGINNING WITH TUESDAY’S NON-CONFERENCE CONTEST IN WACO AGAINST BAYLOR.

IN COLLEGIATE TENNIS ON SUNDAY, THE SHSU BEARKAT WOMEN FELL AT HOME, LOSING TO McNEESE STATE 6-1 IN THE KATS’ FINAL HOME MATCH OF THE SEASON.

IN HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS TODAY, THE HUNTSVILLE HORNETS & LADY HORNETS WILL COMPETE IN THE DISTRICT 20-5A CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT IN TOMBALL.

ON THE LINKS, THE SHSU BEARKATS WILL COMPETE IN THE JIM WEST INTERCOLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT AT WOLFDANCER GOLF CLUB IN BASTROP WHILE THE ALPHA OMEGA LIONS & LADY LIONS WILL BE IN THE TAPPS REGIONAL TOURNAMENT IN VICTORIA.

IN TRACK & FIELD TODAY, THE NEW WAVERLY BULLDOGS & LADY ‘DOGS WILL COMPETE IN THE DISTRICT 21-3A CHAMPIONSHIP MEET IN CROCKETT.
