THERE’S MORE COLLEGIATE BASEBALL SCHEDULED FOR TODAY AT SHSU’S DON SANDERS STADIUM. THE BEARKATS, WHO WON 2 OF 3 OVER McNEESE STATE THIS PAST WEEKEND, WILL STEP OUT OF SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE PLAY FOR A 6:30PM 1ST PITCH AGAINST THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON. SAM HOUSTON HAS WON BOTH PREVIOUS GAMES AGAINST THE COUGARS THIS SEASON, AND WILL BE LOOKING FOR VICTORY NO. 30 OF THE SEASON TODAY. ALSO, TONIGHT IS 50-CENT HOT DOG NIGHT AT THE STADIUM.

IN COLLEGIATE SOFTBALL, SHSU SENIOR 3RD BASEMAN TORI KOERSELMAN HAS BEEN NAMED THE SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE HITTER OF THE WEEK. THE FORMER HUNTSVILLE LADY HORNET HIT SAFELY IN 9 OF HER 10 AT-BATS AND REACHED BASE SAFELY IN 11 OF 12 PLATE APPEARANCES IN THE BEARKAT WOMEN’S SERIES THIS PAST WEEKEND AT SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA.
