FORMER HUNTSVILLE LADY HORNET SOCCER COACH DILLON GAFFNEY HAS BEEN FIRED FROM HUNTSVILLE ISD. GAFFNEY, WHO WAS THE SOCCER COACH DURING THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR, WAS ALSO A TEACHER AT HUNTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS ARRESTED IN JUNE FOR 3 CHARGES OF INAPPROPRIATE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN EDUCATOR & STUDENT, ALONG WITH 3 CHARGES OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. A STATEMENT ISSUED BY HISD ON TUESDAY INDICATED THE CHARGES DO NOT INVOLVE DISTRICT STUDENTS AND HISD OFFICIALS ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY COMPLAINTS FROM INSIDE THE DISTRICT.
