IN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ON TUESDAY, THE HUNTSVILLE HORNETS HIT THE ROAD AND CAME AWAY WITH AN 81-60 VICTORY OVER THE NAVASOTA RATTLERS WHILE THE HUNTSVILLE LADY HORNETS IMPROVED TO 7-&1 FOR THE SEASON WITH A 56-29 HOME WIN OVER BRYAN. ALSO YESTERDAY, THE ALPHA OMEGA LIONS WERE WINNERS AGAINST NEW WAVERLY, DEFEATING THE BULLDOGS 78-68.

IN COLLEGIATE HOOPS, THE SHSU BEARKAT WOMEN FELL AT HOME, LOSING TO RICE 79-50. NEXT ACTION FOR THE KAT WOMEN IS SET FOR NOV. 29 AT HOME AGAINST TEXAS SOUTHERN.

THE BEARKAT MEN BEGIN PLAY TODAY IN ONE OF THE LONGEST-RUNNING PRE-CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS IN THE NATION AS THEY TIP OFF IN THE FINAL GREAT ALASKA SHOOTOUT IN ANCHORAGE. THE KATS WILL FACE CENTRAL MICHIGAN IN 1ST-ROUND ACTION TODAY AT 5:30PM.
