During his concert in Jacksonville, Florida on Friday (October 28th), Luke Bryan announced he will donate proceeds from his upcoming Estero, Florida concert to the Florida Disaster Fund. Hurricane Ian pushed three of Luke’s Raised Up Right Tour dates to next weekend (November 2nd in Estero, November 4th in West Palm Beach, and November 5th) in Tampa). Governor Ron DeSantis joined Luke on stage to announce the pledge, which reportedly upset some concertgoers. Luke turned to Twitter yesterday (Sunday, October 30th) to address being “run down” for this on socia media over the weekend. He wrote in part, “I grew up in a country where if a governor asks you if they can come and raise awareness to help victims of a natural disaster you help . . . I knew people would chatter about this but for me the more important piece was: If I am going to come back there a few weeks after a large portion of people have been affected by a natural disaster in a state where people have been good to me, this felt right . . .”
Luke's final three Florida shows will wrap the tour and will take Luke into preparations for the 56th Annual CMA Awards where he will co-host with NFL superstar Peyton Manning. The show will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 9th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
