Emergency Preparedness Workshop
Join Huntsville Memorial Hospital and a team of experts on Tuesday, April 23, from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Walker County Storm Shelter for “Are You Ready?” – an emergency preparedness workshop. The workshop will provide a step by step approach to disaster preparedness, including local emergency plans, identifying hazards that affect our area, developing an emergency communications plan, and maintaining a disaster supplies kit.

Green & White Radio Auction
The 3rd Annual Green & White Radio Auction was a huge success! Thank you Huntsville for coming together and beating last year’s auction with a total of over $15,250 raised for the Huntsville Hornet Football Booster Club.

Burn Ban in Effect
The Walker County Commissioners Court has voted to implement the “Burn Ban” for Walker County.
The “Burn Ban” is in effect until further notice. Burning in barrels is still permitted, however.
