The Sam Houston Memorial Museum’s 5th annual “Photography Exhibit” will be on display through Dec. 19. The exhibit will be featured in the museum’s Walker Education Center on 19th Street in Huntsville. Visitor will be allowed to vote for the contest winners, which will be announced Dec. 1. The Houston Food Bank food truck will make more return visits to Huntsville. The truck will be stationed at Saint Paul United Methodist Church on Horace Smith Road from 10am to noon Nov. 19 & Nov. 25. The food bank will distribute fresh produce, and will assist with SNAP benefits. There will also be local health agencies & nurses on site for assistance. For more information call 295-5106.

The Huntsville Public Library will host the 4th annual “Library Arts Contest.” The theme for this year’s contest is: “Oh, The Places You Can Go” – and will encourage students to submit creative illustrations of places that reading can take you. The contest begins Nov. 21, and is open to children & teens ages 5 to 18. Entry deadline is 6pm Jan. 9. The library is located on Avenue ‘M’ at 14th Street. For more information call 291-5910.
