Free Sports Physicals

May 19

Student athletes at Huntsville High School and at Mance Park Middle School will be offered free sports physicals for the upcoming school year. High school football & boys basketball players will be offered the physicals from 7:45-9:30am May 19. Mance Park student-athletes will be scheduled for 9:45-11am that day – with the rest of the high school athletes scheduled for 2:30-4:30pm. For more information: 435-6152

Remember When – Stars & Stripes Forever

The 10th Annual “SAAFE House Crawfest” is set for 5pm May 21. SHSU’s Small Business Development Center will help host the “Small Business Celebration Luncheon.” The program will feature a catered lunch and will take place from 11:30am-1:30pm May 21 in the Walker Education Center on 19th Street in Huntsville. Neon For Neurons Color Fun Run

Save the date for Huntsville Memorial Hospital’s 2nd annual “Neon For Neurons” Color Fun Run. The event is set for May 22. “Neon For Neurons” is a fun way to bring attention to the month of May’s designation as “National Stroke Awareness Month.” The “fun run” will be a night run in which participants sport glow-in-the-dark gear and will be showered with neon color along the run’s route. The Huntsville Public Library will host “Family Story Time” beginning at 6pm May 28. The event will feature stories, a bedtime snack & a craft.
