Bearkat Season Ticket Holder Referral Program

SHSU Bearkat football’s popular “Bearkat Season Ticket Holder Referral Program” has been continued for the upcoming 2015 gridiron season. All 2015 Kat football season ticket holders can benefit by referring friends, family & co-workers to become a season ticket holder. Farm Service Agency County Committee – Nomination Period

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened the nomination period for local Farm Service Agency county committees. To be eligible to serve on an FSA county committee, a person must participate or cooperate in an agency administered program, be able to vote in a county committee election, and reside in the local administrative area where they are nominated. The Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Diva Night” for ladies. This event is set for 5:30-8:30pm Aug. 14 in the Lowman Student Center Ballroom on the SHSU campus. Outdoor Explorer

The City of Huntsville is once again partnering with Texas Parks & Wildlife for another series of “Outdoor Explorer” programs. Walker County Farmers Market

The 2015 Walker County Farmers Market will open Saturday in the parking lot of West Hill Mall on Highway 30 West in Huntsville. The market will open at 8am and will remain open until sell out on Saturdays & Wednesdays. SHSU Bearkat Football Season Opener

Tickets are now on sale for the SHSU Bearkats’ football season opener Sept. 5 in Lubbock. The Kats will face Texas Tech in the 1st game of the season. Ticket prices for Sam Houston fans will be $35 per person plus a processing fee. The tickets will be for seats in the SHSU visitors’ section at the Texas Tech stadium. (936) 294-1725
