Huntsville’s Boy Scout Troop No. 98 will host its annual “Christmas Tree Sale” beginning later this week. This year, the scouts will also be selling wreaths. The sale will take place in the parking lot of Brookshire Brothers on 11th Street at Normal Park. The tree lot will be open from 10am to 8pm Mondays through Saturdays, and from 1-7pm on Sundays until all the trees are gone. For more information call 662-1842.

The Huntsville Public Library is hosting its 4th annual “Library Arts Contest.” The theme for this year’s contest is: “Oh, The Places You Can Go” – and encourages students to submit creative illustrations of places that reading can take you. The contest is open to children & teens ages 5 to 18. Entry deadline is 6pm Jan. 9. The library is located on Avenue ‘M’ at 14th Street. For more information call 291-5910.

The 2015 Wounded Warrior Benefit Banquet is set for 5:30pm Jan. 15 at the Walker County Fairgrounds on Highway 30 West. Individual tickets are available for $50 – you can also reserve a table for 8 for $350. Sponsorships are available. All proceeds go to the Warrior & Family Support Center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. For more information call 295-5959.
