Kooter Roberson...No, "Kooter" is NOT my given name, but I've been called that since I was about 3-months old, so I guess it kinda stuck...
I’ve been here at KSAM for 18-and-a-half of the last 31 years, starting my first tour of duty as a sophomore at Huntsville High School. I've worked every air-shift imaginable, but the morning drive gig remains my favorite! My love of radio began when I heard former Houston Colt 45's Play-by-Play announcer Gene Elston broadcast a game in the early 1960s. (I wish I could be as smooth on the air as he is!)

Huntsville and Walker County mean the world to me and my family, which consists of my wife, Dorothy, and our son, Jake. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, reading (mostly historical pieces), and attempting to play golf. On the side, I stay active as a member of the Walker County Fair Association Rodeo Committee.
