Craig Morgan’s 6th Annual Charity Motocross Ride, Concert and Sporting Clay Shoot held August 11-12 in Dickson, Tennessee, raised more than $73,000, bringing the four-year total to $250,000. Proceeds will benefit the Craig Morgan Charity Fund which helps foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee. The ultimate charitable goal of Craig’s foundation is to establish Billy’s Place, a home for temporarily displaced children.
“Year-after-year I am blown away by the support for this event from our celebrity friends and the Dickson and Middle Tennessee communities,” Craig said. “I am so proud of the amount of money raised to help the children and families in this area and am already looking forward to our 7th annual event next summer.”
Bucky Covington and motocross stars Destry Abbott, Fred Andrews, Cowboy Kenny Bartram, Randy Hawkins and Kevin Windham put on an exhibition that thrilled fans as well as a trail ride to kick off the weekend. That evening, Craig, Darryl Worley and Robin Meade performed while GAC host Nan Kelley served as emcee.
A silent auction held during the concert was hugely successful. The opportunity to go on a hunting trip alongside Craig went for over $6,000. On the second day of the charity weekend, ‘The Ultimate Shooter’ Tim Bradley demonstrated his skills as part of the Celebrity Sporting Clays Event.
In other Craig news, he just released his new single, “More Trucks Than Cars.” Written by Craig, Phil O’Donnell and Craig Wiseman, the song is available on his This Ole Boy album.
