Before Lee Brice was a country star, he played football for the Clemson Tigers. He recently returned to his alma mater for the Tigers’ game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. He got fans fired up the night before with the help of Clemson’s marching band, wrapping his set with “Orange Empire,” the fight song he wrote and recorded for the team. He then played Littlejohn Coliseum for his first hometown arena show.

“We had a blast in Clemson…even though our guys didn’t take the win,” Lee said. “I’ve been wanting to play at the Clemson vs. South Carolina game for years, so I knew we had to do something exciting to surprise all our hometown fans. The band did a great job helping me pull that off. We were all on fire straight through watching the guys run down the hill to ‘Orange Empire.’  It was a really cool moment for me as a former player, a musician and a fan!’”

Lee has one more pre-game concert left this football season. He will play the Sun Bowl in E Paso, Texas on New Year’s Eve.
