When Tim McGraw signed his new record deal with Big Machine Records last month, he wanted to start his new journey where his feet first hit Nashville soil – the Greyhound bus station. Tim arrived in Music City by bus in 1989 and while the station has moved since then, it is still a special place for him.
“The symbolism was still there for me,” he said. “I was a wide-eyed kid from Start, Louisiana who didn’t have a clue and in many ways I still feel like I’m a wide-eyed kid from Start, Louisiana who doesn’t have a clue. I still feel like I’m just starting to figure myself out.”
Tim has been incredibly successful both in music and on the silver screen over the last 20 years, but in a lot of ways, he feels like a beginner. “My whole career, I’ve been sort of chipping away at this stone,” he said. “I’m finally starting to see a form that I think I can really hone in on.”
What Tim is honing in right now is his Brothers of the Sun Tour with pal Kenny Chesney.
