New Waverly Structure Fire Extinguished

The New Waverly Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residence on Front Street in New Waverly Tuesday afternoon around five. Responders were able to extinguish the fire before it caused damage to the home. When firefighers arrived, one of the owners of the home was fighting the fire with a water hose. The residents belongings were also saved from a fire that apparently started in their attic. No injuries were reported.
