Forty-year-old Robert Wayne Harris is scheduled for execution in Huntsville tonight for the murder of five people at a car wash in Irving, Texas in March of 2000.
He had worked at the car wash for ten months before he was fired. A week later, he returned with a gun and demanded that the safe be opened and ordered three people to get down on the floor. He then shot all three. Three more employees showed up, and Harris shot them. Only one survived.
Harris was also charged, but never tried, for capital murder in the earlier abduction and slaying of 37-year-old Sandra Scott.
